Ronnie Blu is an independent label made in Nelson and locally owned. Timeless yet contemporary, our pieces are made to look good, with forever in mind.

At Ronnie Blu we are making a clear conscious choice to prioritize environmentally sustainable practices. That means committing to bringing you the best quality fabrics that don’t compromise on caring for the planet. We’re inspired to create pieces that are not limited to one season but can be worn in the years to come by employing expert craftspeople and using quality materials. We are a mother daughter team and work with local cutters, machinists, and tailors in Aotearoa, New Zealand to produce garments using very little synthetic materials. Our wool is ethically grown, non-mulesed and ZQ or Responsible Wool Standard certified [certified at textile stage]. What synthetic material we do use is recycled and we use no single-use plastic anywhere.

My childhood was spent in the beautiful Southern Alps of Marlborough, exploring its natural treasures and expansive countryside. Back then, my talented mother created her own natural merino fabrics from our family sheep station.
